A Heartbreaking Discovery
When rescuers first arrived, the situation looked grim. The horse was in a miserable state, having been denied food and water for far too long.
He had lost a tremendous amount of weight and was severely dehydrated. His spirit seemed completely broken by the neglect he had endured.
His rescuer believed he had simply decided to lay down and wait for the end. He had given up on life, and getting him to safety was going to be an enormous challenge.
A Miraculous Effort
Getting a horse up when they are already down takes a massive amount of effort. The rescuer worried about how they would manage to move him.
