A Very Chatty Companion
Beyond his clever games, Birdie is what his owner lovingly calls a "big talker." When she speaks to him, he chirps right back as if they are having a real conversation.
His responses vary depending on his mood. Sometimes they are short and curious, and other times they sound like long, complicated explanations.
If she simply calls out, "Hey Bird," he answers immediately to let her know he is right there. He even sits by the window, chirping away at the birds outside, completely convinced they understand him.
The Silly Goose
His mom often calls him her "silly goose" when his playful side takes over. He loves to scratch at blankets, furniture, or random surfaces as if inviting someone to chase him.
Despite his silly antics, Birdie has a wonderfully soft and affectionate side. At night, he loves to curl up right beside her in bed.
Sometimes he sleeps on her lap, and other times he tucks himself quietly against her side. In those peaceful moments, he looks perfectly content.

Of course, Birdie still has his cat-like boundaries. One minute he is cuddling close, and the next he might gently signal that he has had enough touching for now.
But that perfect balance of independence and affection is what makes him so lovable. Over time, he has become far more than just a rescued cat to the woman who saved him.
