A Hissing Welcome
"He’s not even doing anything, Pearl. He’s just sleeping." These were the words a frustrated but amused pet parent had to tell their resident cat.
With every fiber of her being, Pearl hated her new little brother. She did not sign up to share her home, and she made sure everyone knew it.

They did all the proper introduction steps off-camera, keeping the cats separated at first. When they were in the same room, the parents supervised them 100 percent of the time.

She laid down on her back for the very first time, exposing her belly to the tiny kitten. In cat body language, this was a massive sign of trust and playfulness.
