Nurses In Disbelief After Spotting A Shivering Animal At The Bottom Of A Hospital Drain

Animals are known to be skillful and sneaky, but somehow, the number of animals getting stuck in drains is increasing every day.
Recently, a similar event took place near one hospital. It all started when one of the nurses was walking past the hospital’s drain.
As she passed, she heard unusual sounds coming from the drain, as if something was moving. Curious and concerned, she decided to take a closer look, and was left in disbelief.
Six feet down the drain, there was a confused and shivering animal of an unknown species.

Concerned for the animal’s safety, the nurse wasted no time and contacted the local rescue team for help.
Fortunately, the rescue team quickly sprang into action, and the nurse patiently waited for them by the drain.
However, when the rescue mission finally began, everyone was shocked by the animal’s true identity…
The trapped animal turned out to be a young fox. No one knew how the fox ended up in the drain, but the rescue team frequently deals with similar situations.

Yalina Blumer, an animal rescuer, shared in an interview:
“The cub was about six feet down so I went on a ladder. I had a crowd of people from the hospital watching me, and one of them lowered the basket down to me. I managed to catch the cub with my grasper and he was lifted up.”
The rescuers believed the young fox had fallen into the drain while running away from something. As a result, they were concerned that he might have a broken leg.
To be sure, the rescued fox was safely taken for a thorough examination, and fortunately, he was mostly fine. Yalina added:
“The young fox was bright and alert, but he had pale gums and I was unsure how long he had been trapped so it was important he was checked out.”
Everyone who witnessed the rescue, especially the hospital staff, was relieved to see the fox safely rescued from the drain.

The staff spent the day caring for their patients while also making sure the little fox was well taken care of.
Soon after the rescue, the fox received the necessary treatments and spent a few nights recovering at the rescue center.
As his recovery progressed better than expected, the day finally came for the fox’s return to his natural habitat.
Yalina brought him back to a safe area outside the hospital to release him. She shared:
“I released him into the woodland backing onto the hospital, where staff said it is known there are dens.”
When Yalina brought the little fox to the woodland, he was initially hesitant. But after realizing he was where he belonged, he quickly ran off into the woods.
The entire rescue team was thrilled to have completed another successful rescue mission, hopeful that the fox would live a happy life in the wild where he belongs.
You see, even wild animals sometimes need our help. While we can’t always assist them ourselves, it’s always important to call professionals for help. Let’s not forget that!
