Pennsylvania Dog Trapped For Days With Cheese Ball Bucket On Her Head Gets Epic Drone Rescue

Imagine being stuck in the summer heat with your head trapped in a cheese ball container, scared, lost, and alone. Scary, ha?

That’s what one brave little stray girl went through in Pennsylvania, and her rescue story is nothing short of incredible.

She had been walking around for days like that, barely able to breathe or see with that container stuck on her head. Honestly, it’s amazing she survived as long as she did.

The container blocked her from eating or drinking, and every step must’ve felt like a struggle. But something in her, that little spark dogs always seem to have, just kept her going.

And thankfully, someone noticed her before it was too late. Volunteers from Canine Rescue of Central PA rushed to help, but catching a frightened stray in a wide-open area isn’t easy.

Every time someone got close, she’d bolt into the tall grass again. Still, no one gave up on her.

Two drone pilots joined the mission, using heat-sensing cameras to scan the fields, hoping to spot that cheese ball tub.

Then, finally, in the early hours of the morning, the drone camera caught sight of her deep in a cornfield. The team rushed in, and there she was: tired, dehydrated, but still fighting.

When they freed her from that plastic trap, she must’ve felt the world open up again.

They named her Dallas Cheddar; Dallas for one of the drone pilots who helped find her, and Cheddar for the very thing that almost cost her life. The rescue shared on Facebook:

“With the help of a massive community search effort and two drone pilots, Dallas was finally found after two days and given urgent medical attention for dehydration and ticks. Fortunately, Dallas, named after one of her drone pilot rescuers, is now on the road to recovery in a foster home.”

What really stood out was how calm and trusting she was, even after everything. Dogs like her have such a beautiful way of forgiving the world that hurt them.

And here’s the best part: her foster family, Katie and Alex, fell completely in love with her and couldn’t let her go.

Sometimes, you can just feel when a dog is meant to be yours, and that’s exactly what happened. What was supposed to be a short stay turned into forever as they realized she was already where she belonged.

Now, Dallas Cheddar spends her days with her forever family, surrounded by love, warm blankets, and the peace she probably never knew before. The Canine Rescue shared in the update:

“Dallas has come a long way since being rescued from a cornfield with a jar stuck on her head after several days of searching. Now, she’s settling into her new life with her family and CRCPA alumni sister, Rue. We couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl!”

From a lonely cornfield to a cozy forever home, her story shows that kindness really can change a life, even one trapped in a cheese ball jar.
