Barn Cat In Colorado Refuses To Leave LA Woman’s Side Until She Realizes They Belong Together

Angela, a photographer from Los Angeles, decided to take a break from city life and spend a few weeks at her friend’s farm in Colorado.
She’s always loved horses and riding, so the idea of working with them in the open countryside sounded like the perfect getaway. What she didn’t expect, though, was that a certain four-legged friend was waiting there to steal her heart.

Among the horses and pastures lived Keith, a fluffy black-and-white tuxedo cat who proudly carried the title of “barn kitty.”
But the moment Angela arrived, something changed. Keith seemed to take one look at her and decide she was his person. As Angela said in her video:
“This little barn cat just randomly started following me around everywhere. He would not leave my side.”

No matter where she went, Keith was right behind her. Whether Angela was feeding horses, cleaning stalls, or just walking across the property, her furry shadow was never far away.

His favourite spot, though, was the riding arena. Every time Angela went in to train, Keith would settle nearby, watching her closely like a loyal little assistant.
But one day, Keith decided that watching wasn’t enough, he wanted to join in. As soon as Angela started riding, Keith began running after her, meowing at the top of his lungs as if demanding a turn.

At first, Angela hesitated to pick him up, worried he’d be scared. But Keith’s persistence finally won her over. As she recalled:
“He was just sitting there, purring the entire time. Like, bouncing in my lap.”
Encouraged by how calm and happy he was, Angela tried going a little faster, and to her surprise, Keith loved it even more.

He bounced along, purring non-stop, completely unbothered by the movement. Before long, Angela even made him his own tiny cowboy hat, turning him into the most charming little farm cat anyone had ever seen.
Sadly, after a few weeks, it was time for Angela to return home to LA. She couldn’t stop thinking about Keith, but she convinced herself that he was better off staying on the farm. That decision, however, didn’t sit right for long.

“It was like the biggest regret ever. I was so sad, and I missed him so much. My friend was like, ‘No, you need to take this cat with you. He’s so sad, he misses you so much.’”
Hearing that, Angela knew what she had to do. She packed her bags, headed back to Colorado, and officially adopted her cowboy cat. For Angela, it felt like fate. Having recently lost her dog, Keith arrived in her life at exactly the right time. As she also said:
“I’m super corny, so I definitely think a certain specific animal sent him to me, because I really needed him at that point in time.”

These days, Keith is living his best life as an LA apartment cat. He’s swapped the barn for soft blankets and now spends most of his time snuggled up on Angela’s chest or perched on her shoulder.
But no matter where they go next, one thing is certain, they’ll go together. Angela also explained:
“I don’t know where we’re gonna end up next, but no matter what, that little cat is coming with me.”

From barn life to city adventures, Angela and Keith’s bond proves that sometimes the best friendships find you when you least expect them. Make sure to not miss out on any of it by following them over on TikTok!
