Emaciated Cane Corso Left To Starve Shows Up At Woman’s Doorstep In Florida
It was an ordinary day when a TikTok user Hunter (@hunterhowells2) heard scratching outside her garage.
At first, she thought it might be a raccoon, but when she opened the door, her heart nearly stopped.
Standing there was a massive black Cane Corso, skin and bones, trembling with exhaustion yet wagging his tail as if begging for help.
The dog, later named Bane, had clearly been through unimaginable suffering. His ribs showed through his dull coat, and his eyes told a story of heartbreak and survival.

Despite his size, Bane’s fragile frame was shocking. Weighing only 85 pounds, he was far below the healthy range for his breed.
Cane Corsos can easily reach over 100 pounds, according to the American Kennel Club. But Hunter and her family didn’t hesitate for a second.
They brought him inside, gave him a bath to wash away the dirt, fleas, and ticks, and carefully tended to the cuts that covered his body. Hunter wrote alongside a photo of Bane resting in his new bed:
“He picked the right home to come to because no animal should be left to die like this. What a cruel world we live in.”
Her video quickly spread across TikTok, drawing hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of comments from animal lovers everywhere.
People were heartbroken by his condition and inspired by Hunter’s kindness. One TikTok user commented:
