Abandoned Crate Outside Las Vegas Rescue Hides A Tiny Frightened Tabby And A Heartbreaking Note
One day, volunteers at Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions in Las Vegas were stunned to find a small crate outside their door.
When they looked inside, their hearts sank. A frightened tabby cat was curled up in the corner, sitting on a wet towel soaked with urine.

Though it was heartbreaking to see how she had been left, the rescuers felt a glimmer of relief knowing she had been brought to a place where she could be safe and given a second chance at life.
The rescue shared in an interview:
“We had no idea how long she had been in the crate, but thankfully, she didn’t spend long outside our center before we found her.”

However, just as the volunteers took the scared cat in, they discovered a handwritten note attached to the crate that broke their hearts, saying:
“My mom can’t care for me. Please take care of me. I promise I’m a good cat!”
Deeply moved by the heartbreaking note, the volunteers knew they had to take the cat in and offer her the care she needed.
They were grateful that she had been left at the shelter, rather than abandoned on the streets.

The shelter instantly cleaned up the cat and thoroughly examined her, only to discover she had another surprise for them. The shelter said:
“The good news was she appeared healthy. However, she was very pregnant.”
Once Ellen Richter, an experienced caregiver for the rescue, heard about the cat from the crate, she immediately offered to foster the soon-to-be mother, lovingly naming her Liberty Belle.
Liberty Belle quickly adjusted to her new foster home, showing her gratitude to Ellen for taking her in.
As she grew more comfortable, she began to come out of her shell, proudly displaying her round belly and purring joyfully.

Just two days after Liberty arrived at her foster home, she delivered a heartwarming surprise for Ellen. With her foster mom by her side, Liberty gave birth to six healthy kittens. Ellen shared:
“It’s been a long evening, but I’m thankful she’s done. This will be the last litter she will have to go through.”
Liberty embraced her role as a mother with all her heart, immediately caring for her kittens, feeding them, and staying close by their side at all times.
Though she was fiercely protective of her babies, she also relished the moments when she could receive cuddles herself.

Fortunately, things turned out better than anyone could have hoped for Liberty and her kittens.
Once her little ones are old enough, they will go on to find loving homes, and Liberty will never have to raise another litter.
She will be spayed and given the chance to find her forever home, where she will be cherished and loved for the rest of her life.
