Left alone in the dark on Halloween night, a tiny kitten with unique features was crying for help. When a grieving animal lover saw her video, everything changed.
A Terrifying Night
It was supposed to be a night of fun and treats, but for one tiny kitten, Halloween brought a terrifying ordeal.
Left all alone in the dark, the four-pound baby had no idea what her future held or why she had been left behind.
She was incredibly vulnerable, frightened, and completely dependent on the kindness of strangers to survive the night.
Crying Out For Help
Someone had dropped the little kitten off right outside of a local animal shelter.
Terrified and alone, she began screaming her head off into the night.
Thankfully, shelter staff heard her desperate cries and quickly brought her inside to safety.
A Very Unique Look
Once she was safe in the light, the shelter staff noticed that she had a very distinct appearance.
They assumed that she had been abandoned, possibly by a breeder, because of a genetic defect.
Because of her unique and endearing looks, the staff decided to name the sweet little girl Goblin.
A Grieving Heart
Not far away, an animal lover named Valerie was going through her own difficult time.
Her beloved cat, Vinny, had recently passed away, leaving a massive hole in her heart.
Still mourning her profound loss, Valerie was absolutely not looking to adopt another cat.
The Video That Changed Everything
Despite her intentions to wait, fate had a different plan for Valerie.
A video of sweet little Goblin popped up from the shelter, and Valerie was instantly captivated.
She stopped everything she was doing that day and decided she simply had to go meet this little girl.
A Timid Meeting
When Valerie arrived at the shelter, she found a kitten who was absolutely terrified of her surroundings.
Goblin was shaking, very scared of the other animals, and incredibly timid.
Seeing how much the tiny cat needed a safe haven, Valerie knew she couldn’t leave her behind and officially adopted her.
Special Quirks And Care
As Goblin settled in, Valerie learned more about her special medical quirks.
Her genetic defects include a flat front skull that makes her eyes protrude, causing a little corneal scarring and issues with her teeth coming in.
She also has a cute curl at the tip of her tail, which the vet confirmed is just a harmless part of her genetics, and she may even have some dwarfism traits.
A Stage Five Clinger
Despite her rough start on Halloween night, Goblin very quickly warmed up to her new mom.
Valerie now lovingly refers to her as a “stage five clinger” who is always incredibly happy.
Whenever she hears the garage door open, Goblin stands waiting to yell her greetings, finally safe, loved, and exactly where she was meant to be.
