When little Peabody entered the world, the odds were already stacked heavily against him.
The tiny miniature horse was born much smaller than a normal foal.
He suffered from crooked legs and a severe bite problem that made it incredibly difficult for him to walk or even eat.
At just three days old, the fragile baby was given very little chance of survival.
A Heartbreaking Rejection
Nature can sometimes be cruel to the weakest members of a herd.
Because of his severe physical challenges, Peabody’s mother rejected him shortly after birth.
Without a mother to nurse him or protect him, the little horse was entirely defenseless.
Seeing no viable future for the struggling foal, the breeder decided it was time to let him go.
The Phone Call That Changed Everything
Just as Peabody’s short life seemed destined to end, a sudden plea for help changed his entire trajectory.
A compassionate animal lover received a phone call about the tiny horse’s dire situation.
Without hesitation, the rescuer pleaded with the breeder, saying, "Please don’t put him down. I’ll come get him."
