The other night, while I was lost in my usual late-night TikTok scroll, I came across what might be the sweetest video ever.
It showed a cat named Luna curled up cozy inside the crib with her brand-new baby sister, Kallie.
Luckily, a baby monitor caught the whole thing, and when mom Kelly got the alert about a furry visitor, she couldn’t help but melt watching her two little ones snuggled up together.
Before you watch the video, let me share a bit about the amazing bond between Luna and Kallie.
Shortly after Kelly gave birth to Kallie, she went to a nearby shelter looking to adopt a kitten who could grow up alongside her baby.
Just a few days later, the shelter introduced her to Luna, the perfect little kitten for their family.
Kelly immediately saw the special connection between Luna and Kallie and knew she couldn’t leave without her. Luna was exactly what they needed. They brought her home, and that’s how their story began.
Luna quickly showed she was a total cuddle lover. She happily soaked up affection from everyone in the family, especially Kelly’s older kids.
But there’s no doubt Luna’s favorite person was Kallie.
Luna is always so gentle with her baby sister. She somehow knows that Kallie means no harm, even when she tugs on her fur pretty hard. That kind of patience isn’t something you see every day in a cat, right?
While the whole family dotes on Luna, and she returns the love, it’s clear from day one that Luna has always belonged especially to Kallie. As Kelly puts it:
“From the start, she’s kind of been Kallie’s cat. And I never saw it going the way it did. It is literally a baby and a cat bond. Everyone always said, ‘The cat will pick you!” And she did!”
Alright, now for the video! Luckily, Kelly shared this sweet moment between Luna and Kallie on her TikTok, and it didn’t take long before it racked up over 27 million views, capturing hearts all around the world.

Kelly remembers the first time she spotted Luna in Kallie’s crib, sharing in an interview:
“I got a notification, so I opened it, and I just saw Luna rubbing all over her. The camera was right in her face, and they were both looking at it like, ‘Mom, please don’t separate us. Please don’t. Let us stay!’”
Kelly says Luna was cuddled up next to her baby sister and didn’t want to move even after hearing her mom’s voice on the monitor telling her to get out.
Still, Luna eventually left the crib, knowing she’s not supposed to be there when mom isn’t around.
But honestly, who can blame her? Luna absolutely loves being near Kallie and always finds her way to her favorite human, even in the middle of the night when everyone else is fast asleep!
Luna isn’t much of a meower, but the second she hears her mom talk about Kallie, she starts meowing right away.
Kallie’s the same way. Whenever she hears her mom mention Luna or senses her nearby, her whole face lights up with the biggest, sweetest smile you can imagine.
These two really are inseparable best friends, always wanting to be side by side and doing everything together.
