Cat Raising Her Own Kittens And Nine More Finally Gets Her Happy Ending After 99 Days

When this sweet mama cat showed up at the rescue with her two kittens, she couldn’t have guessed she’d be calling it home for quite a while.

But during her stay, she found a way to let her loving, nurturing side shine brighter than ever.

Let me share her story with you.

Tina, a two-year-old cat, came to the shelter with her two tiny kittens. She was gentle and loving, but also fiercely protective of her babies.

Once they arrived, the little family got the care they needed and settled in, hoping for a better future. But their quiet wait didn’t last long.

One morning, the shelter got a call about a group of kittens that needed a nursing mother. Their own mom was at the vet receiving treatment and wasn’t able to care for them.

That’s when Tina stepped up and surprised everyone with just how strong her motherly instincts were.

Tina welcomed half of the kittens as her own, while another cat named Tushy lovingly took in the others. The shelter shared in an interview:

“She was nursing her own babies as well as the foster kittens she took in. She wouldn’t let us touch her or her babies.”

Tina and Tushy doted on the kittens, caring for them as if they were all their own. They split the duties between them and quickly proved to be an amazing team.

What touched everyone the most was how easily Tina’s own kittens welcomed the newcomers. Being a few weeks older, they stepped right into the role of big siblings. They groomed the younger ones and snuggled up with them every chance they got.

Tina showed no favoritism. She showered every kitten with the same love, care, and attention. As they grew, the whole furry crew was moved into a bigger room.

This gave Tina the perfect spot to watch them play, explore, and learn all the little things that make a cat a cat.

Under Tina’s watchful eye, the kittens quickly picked up how to eat on their own, use the litter box, and play without getting into trouble.

Even though she was an amazing mom, Tina had a wish of her own: to find a person who would love her just as much as she loved her babies.

One by one, her kittens were adopted into forever homes, while Tina stayed behind at the shelter, quietly and patiently waiting for her chance.

Weeks passed, and still no one came forward to adopt her. Yet Tina stayed as gentle and patient as ever and continued to open her heart to foster and care for orphaned kittens who needed her. The shelter added:

“She cleaned them, played with them, and gave them a swat when they were being naughty – she did it all. The best mama around hoped she would soon be chosen as someone’s baby.”

At last, after nearly 99 days in the shelter and having nurtured 11 kittens in total, Tina’s special day finally came.

A compassionate woman heard Tina’s story and decided to visit her. Tina welcomed her affectionately, and it was an instant connection, love at first sight.

From that day on, Tina found her forever happiness beside this wonderful woman and finally became the cherished baby of her very own home.
