California Couple Finds Five Fluffy Siblings Dumped In Parking Lot And Acts Fast
After more than forty years rescuing animals, the team at The Rabbit Haven in California thought there wasn’t much left that could truly surprise them.
They had answered countless emergency calls and seen more heartbreaking situations than most people could imagine.
But every now and then, a case comes along that even experienced rescuers aren’t prepared for.
That’s what happened when Ricky and Colette arrived at one particular scene. The moment they saw what was waiting for them, they knew this wasn’t going to be an ordinary rescue, and there wasn’t much time to waste.

Picture this: you pull into a parking lot, ready to run errands, and instead you find a tiny pile of baby lop bunnies huddled together, trying to disappear into the asphalt.
That’s what Ricky and Colette saw: five helpless little ones pressed together, trembling, with cars zooming past and no mother in sight. Just thinking about what these babies went through makes your chest tighten.
Ricky and Colette carefully scooped up the babies, tucked them into safety, and promised them the parking lot would never be their home again.
But they knew the little ones needed expert care, so their first call was to The Rabbit Haven.

The Rabbit Haven team has seen a lot over the decades: neglected, abandoned, and forgotten bunnies. But when these five siblings arrived, even they were shaken.
It looked like someone had just pulled off the freeway and dumped them.
Scorched pavement, no food or water, completely unprotected. The Haven described it on Facebook as a heartbreaking act of cruelty, sharing:
“What a sad situation- How cruel to leave defenseless babies out in the dirt in the hot sun. Looks like they just pulled off the freeway and dumped them.”

But the story didn’t end there. The moment the babies arrived at The Rabbit Haven, their luck changed.
They got fresh food, cool water, soft bedding, and most importantly, love. Also, they got names: Robin, Rhona, Reeses, Roy, and Reayah.
And now, the little bunnies are thriving. They’re figuring out the litter box, discovering how fun nibbling can be, and showing off the sweetest personalities. The haven shared:
“They are all very sweet. They are quickly learning to use the litter box and are so happy to have a constant supply of food and love.”

The team calls them little miracles, and that’s exactly what they are. Five tiny survivors who should never have made it through that day but did.
Now, instead of being a heartbreaking story, they’re a story of hope and second chances.
The Rabbit Haven isn’t stopping here. They’re already looking for foster families who can spoil these sweethearts while they wait for forever homes. Until then, the staff is showering them with every ounce of affection they missed out on before.
Because that’s what these bunnies deserve: love, safety, and a second chance. And thanks to a couple of strangers with kind hearts and a rescue that never turns away, they finally got it.
