Florida Tourists Stop By A Kissing Booth Sign On Boat Then A Furry Face Pops Out
It was one of those perfect Key West mornings – sunshine glimmering on the water, the smell of salt in the air, and that lazy Florida warmth that makes you want to stroll just a little slower.
Delaney and her fiancé, Carl, were doing exactly that, walking hand in hand along the docks, admiring the colourful boats lined up like a postcard scene.
They had no idea a surprise was waiting for them – one that would completely brighten their day.
As they paused to admire a docked shrimp boat, something pink caught Delaney’s eye. A bright sign hung above a small porthole, boldly declaring: “Kissing Booth, Call Luna.”

The couple, both devoted animal lovers, instantly lit up. Whenever they travel, they make a point of saying hello to every dog or cat they meet – it’s their way of staying connected to their own pets back home.

“I put two and two together and realized that it was to get closer to the dog!”

“She was so excited to see people, she didn’t even care about the treat we had for her. She just wanted pets and to give kisses to anyone willing to receive them.”
Luna leaned right into her “job,” greeting her new friends with endless affection. The couple couldn’t stop laughing as she eagerly pushed her nose through the opening, tail wagging furiously.
Her joy was contagious, and soon everyone around the dock was smiling too.
They ended up spending nearly ten minutes at Luna’s “kissing booth,” chatting with her owner and introducing the friendly pup to Delaney’s sister and best friend, who were equally smitten.
That’s when they learned Luna’s story – one that made the moment even sweeter.
Luna had been adopted from the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, and now she lived her best life sailing the sunny waters of the Florida Keys with her loving dad.
Despite a difficult past, she’d turned into a social butterfly who adored people and loved spreading happiness wherever she went. Delaney shared:
“Luna was so excited to see people, she immediately started giving kisses and tried to lay down to get a belly rub. I was a little bit nervous she might fall out of the hole, but she is a professional, and I’m sure she does this all the time.”
Eventually, it was time to move on. With one last kiss and a few extra pats, Delaney and her family said goodbye to their new furry friend.
The encounter was short but unforgettable, the kind of sweet surprise that sticks with you long after the trip ends. Delaney said:
“We are very close with our dogs, so the happenstance to stumble across such an adorably sweet dog like Luna on vacation was a blessing and made us so happy.”
As they walked away, they couldn’t stop talking about Luna – the cheerful dockside dog with a big heart and a porthole full of kisses.
For Delaney and Carl, that little “kissing booth” wasn’t just a fun surprise. It was a reminder that joy often shows up when you least expect it, sometimes wearing fur and offering love through a round window by the sea.
