Internet Can’t Get Enough Of This Ginger Cat Comforting A Tiny Sick Kitten

Sharing is caring!

Hearts all across the internet are melting as we witness the heartwarming story of a caring ginger cat captured on camera comforting a black-and-white foster kitten who’s been through some tough times.

This touching video, shared by user @moyer3, is making waves on TikTok, with over 1.4 million views and counting. It beautifully portrays the compassionate ginger cat snuggling up to the tiny, sick foster kitten.

In the video, there’s a heart-wrenching text overlay that reads:

“The white kitten is our foster kitten and is really sick and not doing well. We think she might have feline infectious peritonitis, which is exactly what our orange cat was diagnosed with. Which can be very fatal, especially in young kittens… It’s like he knows and is taking care of her even though he just met her.”

Despite the heavy vibe, the video shows us how caring and affectionate our feline friends can be. Sensing something wrong, this ginger cat snuggled next to the unwell foster kitten, offering him the love and comfort he needs.

About FIP

Let’s talk about Feline Infectious Peritonitis, or FIP, for a moment. According to veterinary experts, it’s a viral disease caused by specific strains of the feline coronavirus. To put it bluntly, it’s a nightmare, especially for kittens.

FIP comes in two forms, one of which is more common and progresses rapidly.

The symptoms can vary from one cat to another, but they often include fatigue, weight loss, fever, breathing difficulties, seizures, vomiting, yellowing of the skin and eyes, loss of appetite, or excessive drinking of water.

Cat owners who suspect FIP should waste no time in contacting the vet! It’s of great importance to pay close attention to different symptoms and react on time.

Diagnosis isn’t straightforward, as it may require blood tests, X-rays, and fluid checks. If it turns out to be FIP, your vet is your best source of guidance on what’s best for your furry friend.

TikTok users are pouring their hearts out, sharing their own stories, and offering advice to the owners on how to help the poor little kitten. Tammy comments:

“Cats are so smart 😊 people don’t give them enough credit for their intelligence. they have such huge hearts as well. 🥰”

Nikko extends his well wishes, saying:

“I hope you get the FIP medication. It saved our baby!”

Brianna also shares her story, commenting:

“My cat just got diagnosed too. Hope we both pull through.”

I share that hope too! I’ll be eagerly awaiting updates on these adorable kitties, sending them all our best wishes for a speedy recovery. But at least, they have each other throughout hard times.
