Recently, another furry little life was saved from a tragic fate in Indianapolis. It all happened when a two-week-old kitten was found alone outside a sports stadium.

No one knew how long she had been alone, but one thing was certain – she needed urgent care to survive…

Thanks to the compassionate people who found the kitten, later named Colt, in the first place, she was brought to IndyHumane, an animal rescue in Indianapolis, for a new chance at life.

Belinda, a volunteer with IndyHumane, immediately stepped in to help. Colt needed special care and bottle feeding, so Belinda instantly took her home for round-the-clock care. She said in an interview:

“She was found all by herself in the parking lot at the Lucas Oil Stadium.”

As soon as Belinda brought Colt home, she began bottle-feeding her and quickly realized how starved the kitten was. However, what happened after just 24 hours was nothing short of surprising…

In only 24 hours, Colt showed huge improvement. She gained weight and strength, and her loud purrs started to fill the room. Belinda added:

“This little girl is so special. She goes to work with me and is adored by everyone who gets a chance to meet her.”

Belinda began bringing Colt everywhere with her to keep up with her feeding schedule, ensuring she never missed a meal.

Fortunately, Colt didn’t mind. She quickly adjusted to being Belinda’s constant companion.

When she wasn’t eating, she was sleeping in her cozy nest, often snuggled next to her plush toy.

After a week of receiving round-the-clock care, Colt transformed into a curious little kitten. She began waddling around and exploring her new world. Belinda said:

“Since she is single, I have allowed her to run around the living room when supervised. She runs as fast as her little legs will take her, spins around, and arches her back.”

Colt soon discovered her playful side, and that was when her true personality began to shine. Still, she insisted on staying close to her foster mom, always ready for a quick cuddle.

As time passed, thanks to Belinda, Colt reached the point where she started eating solid food. She exceeded everyone’s expectations and showed a strong will to live.

In addition to her remarkable transformation, Colt was also busy stealing hearts at Belinda’s office. She would greet everyone with gentle purrs and wait for cuddles. Belinda added:

“This will help socialize her since she does not have any littermates, Colt has a strong will to live and so far a people personality.”

Once Colt grew big enough, it was time for her to meet a resident cat, Mia. To everyone’s surprise, it was love at first sight.

Mia instantly took Colt under her wing, and the two soon became inseparable. For the first time in her life, Colt finally had someone of her own species to thrive with.

Despite everything she had endured, Colt now has everything she ever needed: a dedicated foster mom and a feline friend who adores her.

Colt blossomed into a joyful young cat, and most importantly, she’ll never have to spend another day alone on the street!
