LA Man Hears Odd Sounds In His Wall, A Few Hours Later He’s Met With A Heartbreaking Sight

One evening, a man heard faint, muffled cries coming from somewhere inside his wall. Concerned and curious, he knew he had to figure out what was going on.

The trouble was, he couldn’t pinpoint exactly where the sound was coming from.

Hours passed, and it was getting late, but the cries still echoed now and then. Realizing he needed help, the man reached out to the rescue group Hope For Paws.

By the time rescuers arrived, the house was quiet. The man admitted he hadn’t heard anything for a while, but the team wasn’t ready to give up.

Using a special camera, the rescue team peered inside the wall to see what might be hiding there.

Eldad Hagar, the founder of the rescue, described the late-night scene on Facebook:

“Loreta Frankonyte, JoAnn Wiltz, and I walked into this man’s home around midnight. We all had masks on, flashlights in hand, and not long after arriving, we started making small holes in his walls.”

At first, the camera only showed old, crumpled newspapers. No sign of life. The team began to wonder if their search would end there.

Then, just as they were thinking of calling it a night, Loreta noticed something on the screen: the tiniest little face moving in the shadows.

It was a kitten; scared, alone, and in desperate need of help.

Eldad suggested cutting into the wall to reach the animal. The homeowner, more concerned about the kitten than his home, gave the go-ahead immediately.

Carefully, Eldad began cutting, making sure not to hurt the little one.

When the opening was ready, Loreta leaned in with her flashlight and discovered the kitten wasn’t alone. Another tiny face stared back at her, just as desperate.

The siblings huddled close together for comfort.

Loreta lifted out the first kitten, so small he could fit in the palm of a hand. His eyes were still closed, but he was warm, a good sign.

As JoAnn checked him over, Loreta reached back in and pulled out the second kitten, a wide-eyed little girl. The rescuers couldn’t help but smile at the sight of the reunited pair.

Both kittens were healthy, and the team finally relaxed, relieved to have saved not one but two lives.

No one knew exactly how they’d ended up there, but rescuers suspected they’d fallen from the attic and, after that, their mother had moved on without them.

JoAnn gave them sugar water for energy and wrapped them in blankets. Only two weeks old, they needed constant care.

Since their mother was nowhere to be found, JoAnn brought them home. After warm baths and a good feeding, she spent the night bottle-feeding them and keeping them safe.

Over the next few weeks, the kittens grew stronger and more playful. The little girl was named Blondie, and her brother became Dagwood.

Eventually, they were placed in foster care with the Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats, where they soaked up all the love and attention they could get.

Once old enough, their foster family will set out to find them the perfect forever homes.
