A Startling Discovery In The Road
It started as a typical day until a woman spotted something unusual sitting right in the middle of the road.
The animal was completely motionless, refusing to budge even as cars passed by.
When she got closer, she realized it was a cat. But this wasn’t just any stray—this cat was massive.
“I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is someone’s pregnant cat,'” she recalled. “She was so big.”
A Heartbreaking Response
Hoping to reunite the seemingly pregnant cat with her family, the woman turned to social media.
She posted a photo on Facebook, asking her neighbors in Starkville, Mississippi, if anyone recognized the feline.
To her surprise, she quickly got a response from the owner. But the message wasn’t what she expected.
“Somebody said, ‘Hey, it’s my cat, but I don’t want her, so just leave her outside or you can have her,'” she shared.

“I said, ‘Well, I can’t keep a cat. My landlord won’t let me, but she can live outside, I guess,'” she explained.
However, it quickly became apparent that the cat was not equipped for outdoor life.
She couldn’t jump or move easily, and her massive size—weighing in at 22 pounds—made her vulnerable.
Breaking The Rules For Love
The woman realized the cat was likely surviving by eating garbage, which contributed to her severe obesity.
The outdoor experiment didn’t last long. In fact, it barely lasted a day.
“I couldn’t help but take her in and live with me,” she confessed.
She decided to risk it with her landlord, naming the sweet, heavy cat Miss Biscuit.
Making Herself At Home
Once inside, Miss Biscuit didn’t hesitate to show her appreciation.
She immediately made herself comfortable, seeking out affection like she had never known it before.
“I’d never had a cat be so cuddly,” her new mom said. “She was sleeping in my arms every night, and she still does to this day.”

Despite her previous life outdoors, Miss Biscuit had zero interest in going back.
Even when the door was left wide open, she refused to cross the threshold.
“She would just stay inside and go, ‘I’m not going back out there. Like, this is what I’ve always deserved,'” her mom laughed.
She became the ultimate indoor companion, perfectly content to wait for her mom to return from work.

She also managed to win over her new dad, who had never considered himself a cat person.
“This is his first cat, and he always says, ‘I didn’t think I liked cats until I met Miss Biscuit,'” her mom shared.
The sweet, squishy cat had a way of melting hearts wherever she went.
Quirks And Pup Cups
As she settled in, Miss Biscuit’s funny personality began to shine.
She loves food so much that she eats too fast and gives herself hiccups.
She also developed a surprising love for drive-thru treats.
“If she hears me say, ‘And I’ll order a pup cup, too,’ she’ll start meowing and know, like, ‘Okay, I’m getting a pup cup,'” her mom said.
A Healthier, Happier Future
Since her rescue, Miss Biscuit has been on a weight-loss journey.
She has successfully dropped from 22 pounds down to 14 pounds, becoming much more active.
Though she may have some vision issues and a funny tickle spot that makes her lick the air, she is perfectly content.
“I love her, and I’m so thankful for her, and I can’t imagine life without her,” her mom said. “When I found her, I thought she was special. I didn’t tell my landlord.”
