For years, this sweet pup lived in a cage where she couldn’t move or feel the comfort she deserved.

One day, a woman noticed a cardboard box in a park, looking out of place. Curious, she decided to check it out. When she saw the content, her heart sank.
Inside was a dog, weak and emaciated, barely clinging to life.
Without a second thought, the woman called for help. Rescuers were on their way, but even they were shocked when they arrived.
This poor dog was in awful shape, unable to move. How could anyone do this to such a helpless creature?

The necrosis was spreading, and the only way to stop it was to amputate her hind legs.
The decision was devastating. No one wanted to do it, but they knew it was necessary for her survival.
When the surgery was over, it was a bittersweet victory. The procedure went well, but the path ahead was still uncertain.
The vets and rescuers were determined to help her recover, and slowly, day by day, she started to show signs of improvement.
Her weight started to increase, and she went through more surgeries, including skin grafts for one of her healing legs.
Three months later, she was fully recovered and blossoming. Her transformation was incredible.
The dog who once couldn’t move or stand was now playing with her rescuers, wagging her tail, and learning to walk again.
It was time to find her a new home, and though the vets felt a pang of sadness, they knew she was ready for a fresh start.
One of the rescuers couldn’t bear to say goodbye and decided to adopt this brave pup. With a fresh start ahead, they gave her a home full of love, naming her Mika.
In her new home, Mika quickly adapted to the love and care was getting. She was a new dog: playful, happy, and full of life.
