New Jersey Plumber Called To Rescue A Cat Stuck In A Vent Ends Up Saving Three Precious Lives

Ashley DaSilva was used to sudden emergencies. After all, that came with running an animal rescue. But this call was different.

Just an hour after she placed a pregnant rescue cat at a foster home, her phone rang. The voice on the other end was frantic: the cat had vanished.

After what felt like forever, they finally freed her. The cat barely moved at first. Ashley scooped her up, cradling her in her arms, and she finally relaxed, as Ashley shared:

“When I brought her close to me I felt her take a breath and it just… The emotions overcame me because I was so relieved.”

Against all odds, the cat, now named Plum, had survived the fall, fear, and heat without a scratch.

Hours later, the first of two healthy kittens arrived, followed quickly by the second. And just like that, a terrifying rescue turned into the start of a new chapter for all three.
