LA Rescuer Walks By Someone Carrying Cardboard Boxes, Then Sees A Tiny Nose Peeking Out Of One

Some rescues start with a plan. Others start with a surprise.

Suzette Hall was just planning on a quick rescue that day. Nothing too big, just one stray pup she’d been tracking near a shelter in Los Angeles.

As someone who runs Logan’s Legacy 29, Suzette is used to this kind of thing. She’s always on the move, helping dogs in need find safety and love.

But little did she know that she was about to stumble into something far bigger, and far more heartbreaking that day.

After catching the pup she was chasing after, Suzette headed toward the shelter to let the staff know about the rescue.

But as she got closer to the entrance, something unusual made her pause.

Right there by the door, she noticed a person carrying two large cardboard boxes. The boxes looked worn and a little heavy, sealed with tape and poked through with small holes on the sides.

It seemed odd, and Suzette’s gut told her this wasn’t just someone dropping off supplies. Suddenly, a tiny white nose peeked out from one of the holes.

Within seconds, Suzette realized just how right her instincts were.

Inside those boxes were not old belongings or supplies. Nope. They were filled with the softest, tiniest, most confused little puppies.

Their little faces kept popping out through the holes, looking around with wide, worried eyes.

Whoever brought the pups didn’t want to deal with them anymore. So instead, they decided to leave them at the shelter, not knowing the shelter couldn’t even take in more animals, it was already full.

But sometimes, timing works in mysterious ways. Suzette just happened to be there at the perfect moment.

Kind of meant to be.

Instead of letting the situation get worse, Suzette stepped in without hesitation. The person agreed to hand the pups over to her directly, as she shared in a Facebook post:

“It was honestly a little miracle that I was there because they had taken them to the wrong shelter and I was able to get them just to surrender them to me.”

And just like that, these two scared babies were safe.

They were a boy and a girl, little floofs of love totally unsure about the world around them. Their journey had started out rocky, but now they had someone who cared.

Suzette tucked them into her car and took them to the vet. There, they got full checkups and some much-needed cuddles.

The pups were named Eve and Forrest.

After a few days to unwind and get used to safety, they moved into foster homes.

Now, every day is a brand-new adventure for Eve and Forrest. They get belly rubs, explore grassy yards, and nap in warm beds.

Their foster families are smitten, and how could they not be? These two are full of love, full of spirit, and full of life.

Suzette gets updates all the time and many photos of two happy pups living life the way it was meant to be.

They’re still waiting for their forever families, but in the meantime, they’re surrounded by love. And Suzette? She’s still out there, ready to help the next little soul who needs her.
