When you look at Cuihua today, you would probably think how happy and spoiled this ginger cat looks.
With her gorgeous white and ginger fur, Cuihua is a true definition of a cuddle bug. Unfortunately, her life was not always that easy so get ready to hear all about it.
Cuihua’s owner was running her usual morning errands when she noticed a group of people making some noise close to the farmers market she was at.
Curios about what was going on, the woman came close not knowing her heart was about to break into a million pieces.
The group of people surrounded a motorcycle that was parked on the street. She pushed her way through the crowd, and what she saw immediately brought tears to her eyes.
A stray cat got somehow stuck in the bike’s back wheel, unable to move. To make matters worse, the poor thing was covered in some sticky fluid, resembling some kind of oil.
Although people gathered around, no one seemed interested in helping the desperate cat. The woman asked if they called for help, but everyone seemed too busy with their own lives.
She immediately decided to help the cat, although she had no previous rescue experience! One kind man helped her remove the cat’s back paw from the wheel, and the woman decided to bring her home.
Being already a proud cat and dog mom, she knew she had to separate her indoor pets from the cat she just rescued. The kind woman made her a little sanctuary in one of the guest rooms.
Luckily, once she bathed her, the cat seemed to be healthy, with no visible injuries from the bike. How she ended up in that oily sludge was uncertain, but her rescuer believed the poor soul was probably searching for food in the nearby dumpster.
Naming her Cuihua, the woman gave her all the space she needed to adjust to her new home. She even placed a baby camera in her room, to observe her when she wasn’t home!
Although the vet gave her a clean bill of health, he still advised Cuihua’s mom to introduce her to the rest of her pets after she received all of her vaccinations.
This meant that Cuihua spent almost a month in her room, however, this seemed to not bother her at all. She was playing, napping, and eating whenever she wanted, enjoying life for the first time!
What surprised her mom the most, was Cuihua’s gentle side. She was a real cuddle bug, always asking for some love and attention.
Being such a gentle soul, meeting with her cat and dog siblings went pretty well. They were curious about the newcomer and Cuihua was eager to start playing with them!
If it wasn’t for Cuihua’s mom, she would have never known the warmth of a home or what it feels like to be loved!
I’m so grateful she decided to help Cuihua that day and provide her with the best life possible!
