Woman Visits Washington Shelter “Just To Look” But Returns Home With Cat No One Wanted

One weekend, she visited a shelter in Washington, not planning on adopting a cat. However, fate had other plans for her.

Brandy was instantly captivated by the solitary, forlorn cat. She quickly found out that the cat had been isolated due to frequent fights with the other felines.
The poor cat seemed distressed, and it was obvious she had been stuck in the crate for a long period. What started as a simple visit to the shelter soon turned into a decision to help this cat, as Brandy’s heart went out to her.
At about five years old, the cat had been overlooked by potential adopters for quite some time. When Brandy walked over to her, it was the first attention the cat had received in ages, and she clearly appreciated it.

Brandy decided to adopt the cat, lovingly naming her Kiki, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of her life.
As soon as Kiki arrived at her new home, she completely transformed. She bonded with her humans, settled in her new home, and began revealing her lovely personality.
Brandy was surprised to discover how talkative Kiki was, especially after what the shelter had told her. She explained in a video:
“The rescue told us she was quiet but as soon as we got in the car she started meowing and I swear she’s like never stopped since then.”
It became clear that Kiki had been incredibly lonely at the shelter, craving love and attention. No one had wanted her until Brandy came along. Once Kiki was finally adopted, she knew she was home and couldn’t stop talking.
Kiki proved to be a very special cat, truly happy to have her forever home. The shelter had advised Brandy to keep her confined to a small room at first so she could adjust, but Kiki had other plans.
When Brandy put her in a small room, Kiki meowed loudly, wanting to get out and explore her new home.
From the day Kiki was adopted, she couldn’t get enough of being close to her new mom. Extremely affectionate and friendly, her favourite pastime quickly became curling up in Brandy’s lap.
Kiki is well-behaved, knowing exactly what’s acceptable, and Brandy lovingly describes her as the perfect cat, filling her life with happiness.
