Alabama Homecoming Turns Surprising When Woman Finds Unexpected Visitor In Her Chicken Coop

When you move into a new home, you might expect to find a few things left behind by the previous owners, but a cat is probably not on that list. 

That’s exactly what happened to Julia Davis when she moved into her new home in Birmingham, Alabama. 

The story began when Julia noticed a white cat lounging in an old chicken coop in her yard while she was busy unpacking. 

She shared the surprising encounter with her TikTok followers, and soon her post went viral, racking up over 16 million views. This was only the beginning of what would come to be known as the Coop Kitty saga.

The Coop Kitty Saga

It all started when Julia first encountered the white cat, assuming he might be a stray or a lost pet.

The little guy needed some grooming, and his ears showed signs of wear, but to her surprise, he’s a total cuddle bug who loves getting scratches! Julia explained:

“I figured he belonged to someone since was so sweet. As it turns out, he did belong to someone…the people who lived here before me. The neighbors told me that when they moved, the kitty was left behind.”

Julia turned to TikTok for name ideas, and that post also gained massive attention, boosting her followers from 100k to over 600k.

After receiving tons of suggestions, “Cooper” emerged as the top choice for a cat found in a coop! Soon, Julia shared:

“I kind of fell head over heels in love with this guy.”

But the Coop Kitty Chronicles didn’t end there! 

ust days after Cooper’s TikTok debut, Julia posted footage of a black cat lounging on the coop’s roof, jokingly calling it “Another Coop Kitty?” This adorable new cat was quickly named “Rufus.”

Now, these two feline pals make regular appearances on social media, keeping their fans in the loop.

Thanks to the kindness of generous individuals and their donations, Cooper and Rufus were able to raise over $10,000 for their veterinary bills.

Julia is incredibly thankful for the support, especially since she’s recently been finding even more “mini Coopers” around her home.

Kittens are undeniably cute, but they sure know how to keep you on your toes! Julia’s been blown away by the love, saying:

“It’s hard to put into words the amount of care that people have for these creatures that they’ve only seen through a phone screen. I honestly like to say these cats belong to all of us. Everyone who watches my videos has played a part in their care. It’s been a massive group effort that’s restored my faith in humanity.”

Julia takes great care of her feline friends, ensuring they have the best life possible. She added:

“These cats have a better life than they had before with the help of a community of online strangers. I think that’s really awesome.”

Cooper and Rufus now live happily with Julia, alongside their growing “Mini Cooper” family.

Julia regularly shares heartwarming updates, showing how these once-forgotten cats are now thriving in their new lives.
