After 20 Foster Homes, This Blind Cat Finally Gets His Happy Ending

After 20 Foster Homes, This Blind Cat Finally Gets His Happy Ending

Sharing is caring!

Obi is a handsome ginger fellow, who was born blind. Since he was a tiny newborn kitten, he needed a lot of special care and attention.

Unfortunately, the poor soul changed a little over 20 foster homes and no one was able to provide him the much-needed attention.

That’s when Hannah came to the rescue. Once she met Obi in a local shelter, she instantly fell in love with him and was determined to provide him with a safe and loving home.

From that day on, Obi was the center of attention. Hannah would encourage him to go up and down the stairs, teaching him to navigate safely through the house.

He loved sleeping in his mom’s arms, probably dreaming about tuna and chicken treats!

However, as time went on Hannah noticed Obi desperately needed a friend. That’s when she decided to adopt one more cat, as she said in her video:

“He wanted to play, and he was ready for a mate.”

While Obi was in one of the foster homes, he made a special friend, a cat named Tara. She was the only cat that used to care for Obi, as Hannah mentioned:

“Tara was the only one playing with him, the other cats kind of shunned them.”

Hannah contacted the shelter and immediately went to pick Tara up. Luckily, the little tabby princess was still up for adoption.

Hannah wasn’t sure if Obi and Tara would remember each other. However, the two instantly bonded and started playing with each other. Almost as if they were never separated!

Their favorite pastime is playing hide and seek, and Tara takes her brother’s blindness to her advantage, as their mom shared:

“She’ll like sneak by him. She understands that Obi is blind and she uses that against him.”

When Tara first came home from the shelter, she got overwhelmed at times, especially when new people came over. Obi on the other hand was the first one to meet the newcomers. Gradually, he taught her how to be more open.

With time, Tara became more outgoing, a real extrovert just like her brother! End of the day, these little fuzzballs are happiest when they’re next to each other. He enjoys grooming her, while she sleeps peacefully in his paws.

I am grateful Hannah opened her home and heart to Obi and his best friend Tara. To watch their adventures make sure to follow them on Instagram
