Orphaned Kitten Cried Her Lungs Out For 15 Hours On Florida Farm, Then Someone Finally Heard

It started like any morning on Josh’s farm until a sharp, desperate cry suddenly cut through the stillness. Alyssa Weber and her friend both froze. Something was wrong.

With years of experience at Big Cat Rescue in Florida, Alyssa recognized that sound immediately: a tiny kitten in distress. She ran across the property, following the faint cries.

Realizing the situation was urgent, Alyssa and Josh approached the neighbor and asked for his assistance. He agreed to check but returned shortly after, insisting he hadn’t found anything.

Doubtful and knowing the kitten couldn’t wait much longer, Alyssa decided to risk trespassing to save it. 

Josh stood by her side, and after searching through one of the sheds, he finally stepped out, cradling a tiny, frightened kitten in his arms.

The moment the kitten understood she was safe, her cries quieted, and she melted into their care. 

Alyssa and Josh couldn’t have been happier with how their rescue mission turned out. They decided to call her Birdie, inspired by the high-pitched chirps she had been making. 

Soon, Birdie will move into a foster home, where she’ll be given the opportunity to grow, heal, and eventually find the loving forever family she deserves.

For now, Alyssa, Josh, and little Birdie are enjoying every moment together, showering one another with affection and building a bond that grows stronger each day.
