A tiny orphaned squirrel finds an unexpected family and a surprisingly gentle feline best friend to help him grow strong enough for the wild.

An Unexpected Change Of Heart

For years, he was strictly a big-dog person who couldn’t imagine bringing a feline into his home. He even thought people who liked cats were a little bit strange.

But after falling down a rabbit hole of cat videos online, his perspective completely shifted. He promised his wife he would be entirely responsible for the pet if they could just get one.

That promise led them to a local breeder, where they met a nine-week-old kitten named Cheeto. The man instantly fell in love, officially becoming a dedicated cat person.

Winning Over The Old Dog

The family already had an older dog named Ruger, who was set in his ways like an old man. The new kitten’s arrival brought a wave of worry about how the senior dog would react to the tiny intruder.
