A Stray Seeking Help
It started with a stray Siamese cat who began lingering near a kind woman’s home.
The beautiful feline was heavily pregnant and clearly looking for a safe place to rest.
Slowly but surely, the homeowner started putting food out to build trust.
Whenever the cat would show up, the woman would open her sliding glass doors, letting the sweet stray know she was welcome.
A Safe Haven On The Porch

That very same day, by four o’clock in the afternoon, the stray cat went into labor right on the porch.
Her rescuer sat by her side, promising the laboring mother that she would be safe and taken care of.

Transitioning To Indoor Life
The new mother, now named Samus, was surprisingly comfortable with her rescuer.
Because she was so accepting of human affection, her foster mom suspected she might have been born in a house before ending up on the streets.
They carefully moved Samus and her babies indoors to keep them safe and warm.
They checked her twice for a microchip, but sadly, no chip was found.
Enter Link, The Former Stray
While Samus loved her human caretakers, she was absolutely not a fan of the other animals in the house.
This was especially true of Link, a resident cat who had been rescued from a bush just a year prior.
Link desperately wanted to play with the new arrival, but Samus wanted nothing to do with him.
As a protective new mother, she made it clear that Link needed to keep his distance.
A Frightening Health Scare
Everything was going smoothly until Samus suddenly fell ill.
She was diagnosed with a stomach parasite, a frightening setback for the nursing mother.
In a surprising twist, the sick and exhausted mother cat actually sought comfort from Link, something she had never done before.
To prevent the fragile kittens from catching the parasite, Samus had to be strictly quarantined away from her babies.

Captain Falcon developed a hilarious habit of yelling while using the litter box, and little Yoshi looked just like his beautiful mother.
Before long, Yoshi officially secured his forever home, marking the first successful adoption of the litter.

Thankfully, Samus made a full recovery and was able to reunite with her beloved babies.
Now, the family’s goal is to find perfect forever homes for the remaining three kittens and their incredible mother.
While the foster family loves Samus dearly, their resident dog, Barron, has past trauma and is stressed by having so many cats in the house.
