Phoebe knows she cannot climb the stairs like a typical cat.

When she tries to move around, her body simply doesn’t cooperate the way she wants it to.

However, her physical limitations don’t seem to make her any sadder.

Instead of giving up, this sweet feline has learned and adapted to her unique situation with incredible grace.

Before Phoebe found her forever family, she was just a special needs kitten waiting for a chance.

Her future mom happened to see a video of the little cat flapping around playfully inside a cardboard box.

That simple, silly moment was all it took to capture a heart.

"I fell in love with her at that moment," her mom recalled.

A Temporary Arrangement

Wanting to help the wobbly kitten, the woman and her husband agreed to bring Phoebe into their home.

Initially, the plan was just to act as a temporary foster family.

They wanted to give her a safe place to land while she looked for a permanent adopter.

But it didn’t take long for the couple to realize that Phoebe was already exactly where she belonged.

After just one month of fostering, the couple knew they couldn’t let her go.

They were more than ready to sign the adoption papers and make things official.

"She’s a permanent member of our family now," her mom shared.

Phoebe had successfully turned her temporary foster stay into a forever home.

Understanding Her World

Phoebe’s unique movements are caused by a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH).

While it impairs her mobility and causes her to wobble, flop, or fall, it thankfully does not cause her any pain.

Because she loves to enthusiastically launch herself into things, her parents have to keep her surroundings padded.

This ensures that even when she takes a tumble, she stays completely safe.

Building Strength Through Play

Determined to give Phoebe the best life possible, her parents worked with her constantly.

They focused on trying to get her legs as strong as they could be.

It turned out that the biggest thing that helped her progress was simply playing.

Through daily play sessions, she began to build the muscles she needed to navigate her world.

A Monumental Leap

All of that hard work and playtime eventually led to an unforgettable breakthrough.

During one of their sessions, Phoebe managed to make her biggest leap into the air yet.

Her family cheered her on, incredibly proud of her determination.

"One of the happiest days of my life was when we saw her make her biggest leap," her mom said.

A Sister Who Understands

Phoebe isn’t the only pet in the house, and she quickly formed a great relationship with her feline sister, Choco.

Choco seems to have a clear recognition that Phoebe is not exactly like her.

Because of this, Choco adjusts her behavior, play-wrestling differently and more gently with her wobbly sibling.

Her mom loves watching Choco actively look out for her special little sister.

Anakin Steps Up

The household also includes Anakin, who had been an only cat for six years before the new additions.

Despite being used to flying solo, Anakin bonded beautifully with both Choco and Phoebe.

The older cat enjoys cuddling with the wobbly kitten, offering her warmth and comfort.

In fact, Anakin has taken on a caretaker role, becoming the one who grooms Phoebe most of the time.

No Pity Needed

Caring for a special needs pet has brought the family an incredibly deep connection.

Her mom says she is grateful for Phoebe every single day, as the little cat constantly brings joy and makes people smile.

Despite her challenges, Phoebe lives a rich, happy, and fully supported life.

As her mom perfectly puts it: "Never pity a CH kitty, because they don’t feel badly for themselves."
