Abandoned In The Shadows
Angel was found wandering alone in a landfill, skinny and fending for herself.
Shelter staff believed she had once been someone’s pet because she was so incredibly friendly and used to people.
Sadly, it seemed likely that she was dumped out in the cold simply because she had gotten pregnant.
She arrived at the shelter all by herself, but her story was far from over.
A Heartbreaking Discovery
Just a few hours after Angel was brought in, a litter of tiny kittens arrived at the shelter.
They were completely by themselves and incredibly vulnerable without a mother to nurse them.
Because the shelter was overwhelmed and the kittens were too young to survive alone, they were set to be euthanized.

“Pretty much as soon as I met her, she was happy to be snuggled,” her new mom explained.
