Man Spots An Abandoned Kitten Floating In Floodwaters And Brings Her Home To His Family

After a great flood in his hometown, a kind man went outside to survey the damage the rain had done. 

As he looked around his neighborhood, now completely submerged, he noticed something peculiar in the distance. 

A large piece of styrofoam floated on the floodwater, carrying a tiny, frightened kitten. 

Clearly abandoned and terrified, the kitten needed help, prompting the man to act immediately.

Without a moment of hesitation, the man entered the muddy floodwater, making his way to the frightened kitten. 

As he reached her, he carefully lifted the piece of styrofoam, carrying it to the ‘shore.’ 

Once on dry land, he lowered the styrofoam, allowing the kitten to step off her little boat at her own pace.

Then, he used a soft towel to dry the soaked kitten. Once dry, the man gave his new feline friend a well-deserved treat. 

The whole time she ate, the kitten held her savior’s finger, as though she wanted to show her trust and gratitude. 

The man cuddled and played with his new friend for a while, then gently scooped her up and took her home to his family.

At home, the man introduced the kitten to his son, who was surprised to see the tiny feline. The child was so happy that he immediately started playing with the kitten. 

Curious about her new surroundings, the kitten went to investigate, exploring every nook and cranny of what she would soon begin to call home. 

She inspected every corner of the house, and the child faithfully followed every step she took.

Then, the man’s wife brought out some food for the kitten. 

As she ate, the woman petted her head, delighted that their family had gained a new furry member. 

All the while, the child patiently waited for his new favorite playmate to finish eating so they could continue their game of exploring.

The family soon set up a comfy bed for the kitty to sleep in. She came to investigate, purring her heart out in approval. 

After she played some more with the boy, the kitten approached the bed again, nestling herself in it and eventually falling asleep, feeling safe with her new family. 

The family watched lovingly, happy to have helped a feline in need.
