David Loop, an amazing soul who rescued numerous cats and kittens, recently had a beautiful story to share.
It’s about a tiny kitten named Javie and how he managed to survive against all odds. Buckle up for this heartwarming story!
When David and his rescue team were informed about a kitten that had been abandoned by his mom, little did they know just how tiny he was.
David immediately rushed to pick the kitten up and once he saw him, he literally couldn’t believe his eyes.
Little Javie was the size of David’s thumb, with the umbilical cord still attached and his eyes closed.
Why his mom abandoned him was uncertain, but David knew that Javie needed urgent care.
Once they transported him to their facilities, the vet had an explanation as to why Javie was so tiny.
The poor thing was born prematurely, weighing only 76 grams! This means he needed care and attention around the clock, and David was more than willing to take the role of his foster dad.
He fed him every two hours and luckily the tiny thing had a strong appetite. The rest of his time he spent in a warm incubator which helped him regulate his body temperature.
In just two weeks, Javie opened his eyes and gained some significant weight! It seemed like David was doing a great job when it came to fostering Javie.
This meant he no longer needed the incubator, so he had to find a new spot for his naps. Right under David’s beard, Javie would tuck himself in and doze off! How adorable, am I right?
Javie soon became a playful little kitten, who loved jumping around and chasing toys. However, David’s arms were still his favorite place to rest and nap.
David showered him with love and attention, and Javie was now ready for adoption.
It took only a couple of days for the first adoption application to come through, and before they knew it Javiee was on his way to a forever home!
