Los Angeles Cat Rescue Saves An Emaciated Stray Cat In A Desperate State

Sharing is caring!

George the cat had more than just a difficult life on the busy streets of Los Angeles. He was around 10 years old when kind people noticed his struggle.

Living on the streets of East Hollywood for such a long time affected his body and health. The poor boy was limping, had many scars on his body, and was in an overall bad shape.

He was rescued from the streets by the Del Gato Rescue and immediately brought to a vet’s office. They had to remove all of his teeth since they were rotten and causing him huge discomfort.

He was then placed in a foster home where he could begin his healing journey, not knowing his life was about to change forever.

Jadyn Hailey followed his rescue story on social media, and she absolutely fell in love with this senior feline.

A few months after he was rescued from the streets, Jadyn officially adopted him. However, George was so shy that he avoided any contact with her. As Jadyn said in a video

“He honesty just tried to close his eyes all the time to avoid contact.”

It was completely normal that George was so reserved at the beginning, considering how many years he spent all alone as a stray.

Jadyn gave him all the space he needed to adjust to his new home, and with every week that passed, sweet George started slowly coming out of his shell.

He started eating, playing, and even asking for cuddles. His injuries healed and his fur grew back in all the places he previously had injuries.

What Jadyn didn’t expect was for George to become the biggest cuddle bug ever. He was happy whenever Jadyn had guests over because that meant he could get all the cuddles in the world.

He showed them just how much he loved humans and how grateful he was Jadyn gave him a forever and safe home. As Jadyn beautifully said:

“It’s so beautiful to see how much love and care and the small little needs can help a cat so, so much.”

From being barely able to walk to having a warm and safe home, I’m so grateful for Jadyn and the kind rescuers who gave this senior boy a happy ending!
