Florida Man Leaves His Pit Bull Tied To A Tree With A Heart-Wrenching Note Next To Him

While some people abandon their pets when they get bored with them, others do so for different reasons, such as financial struggles.

Even though many shelters and vet clinics across the U.S. offer various forms of assistance to those who are financially struggling, some people still believe that abandoning their pets is the only option.

This was exactly the case with a man from Orlando, Florida, who, unable to care for his pit bull any longer, made a heartbreaking decision.

Desperate, he tied his dog, Lincoln, to a neighbor’s tree in the middle of the night. 

Besides that, he also left a heart-wrenching note next to him, explaining his situation, and begging his neighbor to take care of his dog.

The next morning, the neighbor found the sad and confused dog tied to the tree. After reading the note, his heart shattered. Lincoln’s owner explained that he had to leave and wrote:

“Please take care of Lincoln or find him a good home. I trust you with my baby. I’m sorry.”

The only good thing this man did was leaving his beloved dog in the right place. Unfortunately, the neighbor couldn’t keep him but didn’t turn a blind eye either.

He immediately contacted a local rescue organization, The Pittie Party of Central Florida, hoping they could offer Lincoln a better future.

A volunteer named Mayson Jones arrived shortly after and took Lincoln in. He showered him with love and care, and Lincoln quickly revealed his playful and gentle personality.

Thankfully, Lincoln was in great health, so all he needed was a forever home and a human who would never abandon him again.

Fortunately, his happily ever after arrived sooner than expected. A woman named Melanie Anderson heard Lincoln’s story.

Feeling sorry for him, she decided to offer him a safe place to stay until he finds his forever home. However, little did he know that great things awaited him,

Thanks to Melanie, Lincoln soon found his forever family, the Copley’s, and got adopted.

Lincoln was overjoyed to have loving humans by his side once again. Now, he’s thriving in his new home, enjoying boat rides, and living his best life.

While Lincoln’s story ends happily, it’s sad to know that he’s not the only pet in this situation.

Many dogs and cats are abandoned every day, and shelters are overcrowded due to this ongoing problem.

These shelters work tirelessly to care for abandoned pets and help them find perfect families and homes.

Thankfully, there are foster families who step in to help, just like Lincoln’s. The rescue organization usually covers all costs for the foster family to take care of the dog. The TPPCF shared on their Facebook:
