New Puppy Won’t Stop Barking Until His Owners Realize He’s Trying To Warn Them

German Shepherds are some of the best guard dogs in the world, and this 5-month-old pup is no exception.
One night, he started barking and wouldn’t stop until his owners realized he was trying to warn them…
The pup named Velly wouldn’t stop barking from his crate. His owners found his behavior very unusual, but it sounded urgent.
At first, they thought he just wanted attention. However, as Velly’s barking continued, one of the owners decided to take him outside on a leash. They thought he needed to go to the bathroom, as they were still crate training him.
Once outside the crate, Velly quieted down for a few moments. Just when his owner felt relieved, Velly started barking again, but this time, it was much more furious.
It turned out that after sniffing around, Velly spotted a person hiding under their deck. Realizing that, his owner screamed to her husband and brother, who were inside the house.
They rushed to the door and immediately called 911. Thankfully, the officers quickly arrived and arrested the person, all thanks to Velly’s instinct and persistence. The owners shared a video on Instagram and said:
“As we stepped into the backyard, I had no idea what we were about to uncover. Velly immediately pulled towards the deck, barking furiously. Upon investigating, I found a druggie hiding underneath, clearly caught off guard. Thank God I wasn’t alone; There’s someone in the yard! I screamed in complete panic. Both my husband and brother rushed to the door, alarmed by my shout. I quickly alerted them about someone being there under the deck and asked to call 911 while running back in the house. The intruder was arrested, and Velly had saved the day.”
Though still young, Velly showed great potential as a guard dog. He sensed a stranger and his protective instincts kicked in, causing him to bark until his owners realized what he was trying to tell them.
Velly’s behavior left his owners completely speechless. A part of the video’s caption read:
“At just five months old, he had already proven his incredible instincts and loyalty.”
To everyone’s surprise, the Instagram video quickly went viral, amassing over 1.2 million views.
Instagram users were thrilled by Velly’s reaction, and couldn’t stop praising him in the comments. One Instagram user commented:
“Did u give him a whole bunch of love and treats?”
Others weren’t much surprised by Velly’s reaction, considering his breed. According to the American Kennel Club, German shepherds quickly learn commands and are always willing to put their lives on the line to defend their loved ones.
