This is the story of Kyle, a TikTok creator who went from being “not a cat person” to becoming the proud dad of a little orange kitten named Lilo.
It was just another day in the city when Kyle heard a sound that made him pause: a cat meowing. At first, he didn’t think much of it.
After all, as he shared with his TikTok followers, stray cats weren’t unusual in that area. But this meowing was different—it didn’t stop. It grew louder, sharper, more desperate. Something about it tugged at him.
So, despite being busy, Kyle decided to check. He followed the sound, which seemed to echo around him, yet he couldn’t see the cat anywhere. Then his eyes drifted toward a water barrel, and his stomach sank.

“It didn’t take more than a week before Lilo was pouncing at Winnie and jumping on her nose. I think the most surprising part about their relationship is how they became best friends so quickly and unexpectedly. It’s a beautiful relationship.”
Now, Lilo and Winnie are inseparable, proving that size and species don’t matter when it comes to true friendship.
Kyle admitted on TikTok that he had never really been a cat person. He clarified that he didn’t dislike cats—he just never thought he’d own one.
