Cats In New Jersey Raise A Tiny Piglet Who Soon Believes He’s One Of Them

What truly matters in life isn’t what you are, it’s who you choose to be, and where you find love and belonging.
Dragonlord, the charming star of today’s story, would absolutely agree. Although he may have been born a pig, in his heart, he’s a pure cat, and for good reason. Dragonlord was raised by cats, and today, he lives as one of them.
Dragonlord’s story begins at Rancho Relaxo, an animal sanctuary founded by Caitlin, a devoted rescuer with a soft spot for the vulnerable.

When Caitlin first met Dragonlord, he was a fragile, shivering piglet: tiny, weak, and completely alone.
The chilly nights offered no comfort, so Caitlin brought him inside to keep him warm and safe.
What she didn’t expect was that Dragonlord wouldn’t just grow stronger, he’d grow into something entirely unexpected.

Once inside, Dragonlord was introduced to two of Caitlin’s foster kittens, Sriracha and Raisin.
From the moment they met, the trio bonded like long-lost siblings. Despite being different species, the three quickly became inseparable, playing together, cuddling up for naps, and learning each other’s quirks.
Sriracha took on the role of big sister, grooming Dragonlord as though he were just another kitten. Raisin, meanwhile, became his playmate and taught him the finer points of feline fun.
It was clear to everyone that Dragonlord didn’t just want to live with cats, he wanted to be one.

As Dragonlord grew, Caitlin prepared to move him out to the barn to live with other pigs. But Dragonlord had other plans. On the day of the big move, rain poured down, and so did his enthusiasm. Caitlin recalls:
“It was disastrous. He was not happy at all.”
After that muddy misadventure, it became obvious where Dragonlord truly belonged: indoors, surrounded by his feline family.
He claimed all the coziest corners of the house, curling up with the kittens like one of their own. Inside, he found not just warmth and shelter, but love, identity, and joy.

“He’s Dragonlord, lord of the cats.”
And honestly, with a name like that, could he be anything else?
While most pigs are content with mud baths and sunny fields, Dragonlord prefers headbutts, afternoon naps, and maybe the occasional game of chase. He might not have whiskers or a tail, but in every way that matters, he’s one of the clowder.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t take the whole cat lifestyle too far (3 a.m. zoomies and all)!

Dragonlord’s story is more than a quirky tale, it’s a beautiful reminder that love isn’t limited by appearances or species. It’s about connection, comfort, and being seen for who you truly are.
Dragonlord’s life with Sriracha and Raisin shows us that being different can be wonderful, and that home is wherever you feel most loved.
Here’s to many more years of purrs, piggy snuggles, and feline mischief for Dragonlord, the one and only pig who proudly rules as lord of the cats.
