Tiny Pink Nose Appears From A Hole In The Wall, And Ohio Couple Can’t Believe It Who’s There

family finds possum in their wall

It was just a regular evening for one couple from Ohio. They were relaxing at home, ready to chill after a long day.

But their dog kept acting strange. He paced, barked, and acted like something serious was happening.

At first, they shrugged it off, thinking maybe a bug or a mouse had gotten in. Still, the barking wouldn’t quit.

The dog was fixated on one spot near the ceiling. That’s when they finally paused the show and looked up. And that’s when they saw it.

Near the top of the living room wall, right by the ceiling, a little hole had appeared in the plaster. It definitely hadn’t been there before.

They stared at it, puzzled, wondering how they hadn’t noticed it earlier. Then, suddenly, a tiny pink nose wiggled out.

A second later, two shiny eyes and a furry gray face appeared, peeking through the hole like it was the most normal thing in the world. It wasn’t a rat. Far from it.

A brushtail possum had just popped into their living room! A wild little explorer with wide eyes and a curious face, like she was considering joining them for the evening.

Their first instinct was concern. Maybe she was trapped or scared. So they grabbed some tools and carefully widened the hole, hoping to help.

But the possum had other plans.

Before they could reach her, she backed up and vanished back inside the wall. Apparently, she wasn’t stuck; she was just checking things out.

Still worried, the couple called in a professional. Amy Wregg, a wildlife rescuer and vet nurse with a reputation for helping animals in strange situations, came right over.

With the couple watching and encouraging her, Amy carefully opened up more of the wall to see if the possum needed help.

Their main focus wasn’t the mess or the repairs; it was making sure the little visitor was safe.

As soon as the opening was wide enough, the possum took off. He climbed up onto the roof like it was her usual route.

After everything had settled down, the couple checked the house and sealed up every nook and cranny they could find to prevent any more surprise visits.

But they didn’t stop there. They also put up a special outdoor box, giving local wildlife a cozy and safe spot to rest, no wall-climbing required.

Amy loved the idea. She always says if you don’t give possums a place outside, they’ll just keep trying to make your house theirs.

And honestly, who could blame them? It’s warm, smells like snacks, and there’s a friendly dog hanging around.
