Feisty Alaska Cat Sends A Funny Apology Card After A Vet Visit Gone Wrong
If you’re a devoted cat parent, you know that vet visits can be an adventure – and not always in a good way.
Between the anxious meows, the desperate attempts to escape, and the inevitable cold stares of betrayal, taking your cat to the vet can feel like a mission impossible.
For whatever reason, most kitties aren’t big fans of sterile exam rooms and humans in white coats, and today’s feline troublemakers are no exception!
Meet Nebula and Gamora, two spirited kitty sisters from Anchorage, Alaska, who recently embarked on what was supposed to be a quick and easy trip to the vet.
But, as any cat owner knows, “quick and easy” and “cats” don’t always go together!
The moment they arrived, Gamora, the ever-curious explorer, made herself right at home.
She boldly popped out of her carrier and immediately set her sights on the vet’s laptop keyboard, treating it like her own personal playground.
With wide eyes and an investigative paw, she seemed to be asking, “Ooh, what’s this? Can I type, too?”
However, her sister Nebula had a completely different approach to the situation.
While Gamora fearlessly explored, Nebula remained huddled in the back of her carrier, wide-eyed and determined to avoid all contact.
She did her best to shrink into the smallest possible ball, pressing herself into the farthest corner as if she could somehow vanish into thin air.
I bet she was thinking, “If I stay perfectly still, maybe – just maybe – the vet won’t see me at all!”
Once she was let out of her carrier, she completely froze. This kitty was so scared of the vet that she instantly decided the wall was her best friend.
She tried to meld into it like a shy shadow, wishing she could just vanish from sight!
But when that didn’t work out, her nerves got the best of her, and she gave the vet a little love bite!
Aurora Lothbrok, their mom, reflected on the unexpected turn of events, sharing on TikTok:
“I’m so mortified.”
While Nebula was unapologetic and seemed entirely unconcerned about the chaos she’d caused, her mom knew she needed to make amends. And she did it in such a cute way!
The embarrassed woman hatched a plan: Nebula would send a heartfelt apology card to the vet!
The card turned out to be an absolute gem. It read:
“Sorry I bite you. I bite my mom, too.”
The card also featured the cutest snapshots of Nebula just being herself – quirky and unapologetic.
When Nebula saw it, her unimpressed expression was priceless. She looked at it with her ears flicking dismissively, clearly unimpressed by the whole situation.
A few days later, Aurora shared the card on TikTok, and the response was overwhelming. Many vets commented, expressing how much they would treasure such a sweet gesture. One of them said:
“As a vet, I would frame this and treasure it.”
Aurora was happy with the positive feedback, hoping the vet would enjoy the card just as much. Nebula, of course, remained blissfully uninterested in the fuss surrounding her.
I bet she was likely plotting her next escapade, completely convinced that being fabulous was all that truly mattered – apologies were for mere mortals!
Nevertheless, her sweet apology just goes to show that even troublemakers have manners, haha.
