You’re not gonna believe where this cat came from.

One chilly morning in Long Island, Amazon workers spotted a fluffy orange cat hanging out under one of the delivery trucks.

At first, they thought he was just passing through. But days went by… then weeks… and the little guy was still there, curled up under the same truck like it was his new home.

Of course, the workers couldn’t just ignore him. They started leaving food out every day, hoping to earn his trust.

Eventually, they realized he wasn’t going anywhere. That’s when they called John Debacker, a local animal rescuer known for helping stray animals all over New York.

John showed up with food in hand (because, let’s be honest, food works every time), and patiently lured the cat out from his hiding spot.

The rescue went smoothly, but nobody expected what was about to happen next.

John scanned the cat’s microchip, thinking he’d find an address somewhere nearby. Maybe a few blocks away. Maybe even another neighborhood.

But nope, the scanner revealed something wild. This cat wasn’t from New York at all. He was from Bermuda. Yes, the island. Over 700 miles away across the ocean!

John was completely floored, sharing in an interview:

“I was shocked.”

How in the world did a senior cat from Bermuda end up under a delivery truck in Long Island?

John reached out to the Bermuda SPCA to piece together the mystery, and soon learned the cat’s name was Frankie, sharing:

“We’re not sure if he was a stowaway or if the person that he belonged to moved to the States recently and he got loose.”

That’s when the story got even more unbelievable.

Frankie had lived quite an adventurous life. He was originally from the UK, where he was born years ago, before moving to Bermuda.

Then, he was adopted by a family in Turks and Caicos. However, that family couldn’t keep him long-term, so they rehomed him to South Carolina.

Frankie stayed there for a bit, but before long, he ended up being surrendered to another shelter. His journey didn’t end there, though.

Years later, a rescue group from New York stepped in and brought him up north, and somehow, this brave traveler ended up under that Amazon truck where he’s been living ever since.

No wonder rescuers started calling him “Mr. Worldwide.” John shared on Facebook:

“This world traveler has seen more places than most people have.”

When John took Frankie to the vet, they learned he was around 15 years old. But despite his age, he was still full of love and charm.

He purred nonstop and soaked up all the attention he could get. John said he was one of the sweetest cats he’d ever met.

Now, Frankie’s finally safe and resting at Last Chance Animal Rescue in New York.

After years of moving from place to place, this world-traveling senior cat is ready to settle down for good. He’s waiting for that one special family who’ll give him the peaceful, cozy life he’s always deserved.
