But let me tell you, getting Lola and Lucy from Idaho to Wisconsin was no small feat, my friends – we’re talking about a whopping 1,600 miles separating the two locations!
However, thanks to the dedication of a volunteer flight attendant who specializes in making these incredible cross-country cat rescues happen, Lola and Lucy embarked on their journey to safety.
After a quick pit stop at a vet to ensure they were fit to fly, they finally arrived at their new foster home in Wisconsin, greeted with open arms and boundless love from their foster parents.
Overcoming Challenges
Life hadn’t been a walk in the park for these sisters before their rescue. In addition to their blindness and impaired vision, they were battling weight issues and underbites, making even something as basic as eating a challenge.
Sue Lentz, from Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue, took them under her wing and lovingly fed them watered-down soft food, watching with amazement as they shoved it in with unwavering determination.
