Some cats are known for their loud meows or playful antics, but Suki has a different way of communicating. According to her owner, Michelle, Suki speaks entirely with her eyes.

And those eyes always seem to be saying the same thing. Michelle describes Suki as having a "resting concerned face," a look that makes the sweet feline appear perpetually worried about the world around her.

It’s an expression that has been with Suki since the very beginning of her rescue journey, capturing the hearts of those who see her.

A Surprise In Rescue

Suki’s story started on the streets, where she was found living as a stray cat. Life outside was undoubtedly stressful, which might explain her anxious demeanor.

When rescuers took her in, they planned to spay her and get her ready for adoption. But during her medical check, they made a surprising discovery.

Suki was pregnant. Before long, she gave birth to three kittens right there in the rescue’s care.

A New Plan

While Suki’s kittens eventually found their own forever homes, Suki was still waiting for her second chance. That’s when Michelle saw her.

Michelle had never owned a cat before and wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. To ease into the process, she decided to try a "foster to adopt" arrangement.

It seemed like a sensible plan, a way to see if they were a good match without making an immediate, lifelong commitment.

Love At First Sight

But as it turned out, the trial period wasn’t really necessary. The moment Michelle went to pick Suki up, everything changed.

"I fell in love immediately," Michelle recalled. Looking at that worried little face, she knew instantly that Suki was already home.

There was no way Michelle was going to let this anxious, sweet cat go anywhere else.

It took Suki two full weeks just to feel comfortable enough to step out of that room. It would be another two weeks before she finally ventured downstairs to explore the living room.

Grandma’s Favorite

Once Suki settled in, her true personality began to shine through. She proved to be an affectionate cat, though always strictly on her own terms.

She quickly formed a very special bond with Michelle’s mother. In fact, "Grandma" is undeniably Suki’s favorite person in the house.

Every morning, Suki scratches at Grandma’s door, eager to climb into bed, cuddle, and happily drool all over her favorite human.

The Grandpa Exception

Evenings are reserved for more bonding time. Suki loves to lay on Grandma’s chest on the couch, soaking up scratches while they watch TV together.

However, Suki’s affection has its limits. While she adores Michelle and her mom, she has a completely different attitude toward Michelle’s dad.

For whatever reason, Suki just isn’t interested in Grandpa, leaving him completely out of luck when it comes to feline cuddles.

A Shared Anxiety

Suki’s permanently worried expression isn’t just a cute quirk; it’s something Michelle deeply relates to.

"It kind of reminds me of myself, too, cause I like to say I’m a pretty anxious person," Michelle explained.

This shared sense of anxiety has forged a quiet, profound understanding between the two of them. They seem to know exactly what the other needs.

For Michelle, Suki is much more than just a pet. "She is my emotional support animal," Michelle said.

And Michelle hopes that she provides the exact same comfort to Suki, letting her know that despite her worried face, everything is finally going to be okay.
