In the bustling city of New York, a cat named Arthur was going through a rough time. He had injured his back leg, which made walking really difficult for him.
Luckily, you’ll soon learn that he wasn’t going alone through it. So, buckle up!
When Gianna Cirucci, the founder of Foster the Furbabies, found out about Arthur’s situation, she knew she had to step in.
Turns out, Arthur was missing a foot on his back leg, and the shelter couldn’t give him the medical care he needed.
Gianna was touched by Arthur’s story and decided to foster him. However, when she reached out to the shelter, she discovered that Arthur had a close friend, Muffy, who was with him all the time.
The shelter didn’t want to separate the two cats because they were so bonded. And once Gianna arrived at the shelter and saw it for herself, she realized she couldn’t leave Muffy behind. As she shared in an interview:
“They wanted to see if we would take her too. I couldn’t say no, especially after I was sent a video of them cleaning each other.”
So, without too much thinking, she chose to foster both Arthur and Muffy. The two cats were like best friends, and it was clear that Arthur needed Muffy by his side.
That day, both little furballs moved into Gianna’s home, where they received the care and affection they truly needed. From then on, Arthur started his healing journey.
After throughout examination at the vet, Arthur had to wear a cast until he was strong enough for surgery.
However, while he was waiting, the vets found an injury on one of his front legs that was beginning to heal on its own. You see, there were some setbacks, but he kept going.
Before long, Arthur had surgery on his back leg, and both cats were treated for pneumonia.
Despite their health issues, Arthur and Muffy were inseparable. Especially Muffy, who was always there to cheer Arthur up, clean him, and help him through tough times.
Gianna was deeply touched by the loyalty and love they shared. Having fostered countless cats, she had never witnessed such a strong connection between two animals.
Arthur and Muffy seemed like two souls that could read each other’s minds and feelings perfectly.
After that, everything just kept getting better. Gianna’s house turned into a safe haven for Arthur and Muffy.
She made sure they had everything they could want, like comfy beds and healthy food. She even took them to the vet regularly to make sure they stayed healthy and happy.
On the other hand, the two cats really flourished in their new environment. They enjoyed playing with their toys, running around together, and soaking up the sun. They were always there for one another, providing comfort and support when it was needed.
Gianna felt lucky to have the chance to look after Arthur and Muffy. She had found two cats that captured her heart and brought so much happiness into her life.
Now, thanks to her and Foster the Furbabies, Arthur and Muffy are in a loving and joyful environment far away from scary streets. And the best part is, they are still together!
