Pets often sense when their owners are feeling down, and they tend to respond in heartwarming ways. This was exactly the case with a sweet cat named Delilah, whose comforting actions melted the hearts of millions online.
Delilah’s owner, who goes by @bun3yg1rl on TikTok, shared a video that quickly went viral. She opened up about her struggles with fibroids and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), both of which cause her severe pain.
One day, when the pain became overwhelming, something remarkable happened: Delilah stepped in to help. As she shared:
“I have horrible PCOS & fibroids. The only thing that helps is pressure on my ovaries… Today I was crying because of the pain when she came to do this.”
While her owner was in tears, Delilah calmly approached her and began gently massaging her stomach. To her surprise, it actually helped soothe the pain. Delilah’s owner couldn’t help but gush over her cat’s loving nature. As she said in an interview:
“She’s always there when you need her. Giving you purrs and making biscuits in any place you may be hurting. If she hears someone crying, she’ll run right up to start soothing you by rubbing her head on your face.”
It’s clear Delilah’s actions resonated with many cat lovers. The comments section on her TikTok video was flooded with messages of support.
“I have PCOS too, and my cat does the same thing when I’m in pain,” one user shared. Another wrote, “Cats are wonderful, I’ll never understand why some people don’t like them.”
Many other viewers agreed saying their cat does the same thing. Some shared their own ‘healing’ examples:
“One time I had a migraine for 3 days straight and I was in agony, my girl cat crawled up and laid around my head and neck and was purring. Within 10 minutes it was gone and didn’t return”
Just wow! Cats really are awesome!
The touching video has since racked up over four million views and more than one million likes, showing just how powerful the bond between humans and their pets can be.
Delilah’s tender care is a sweet reminder of how our furry friends are often more in tune with us than we realize.
