Sometimes shelters and rescue agents are overwhelmed by the number of cats abandoned daily nationwide.
For this reason, the majority of our feline friends depend on the kindness of volunteers who dedicate their lives to help them.
Today’s story is about such a woman who made it her mission to help the stray cats in her neighborhood.
Together with a group of friends, she catches the poor cats, brings them to a vet, and after some time in a foster home, makes sure to find them a loving forever home.
Recently she rescued an adorable kitten in a tuxedo coat. The poor soul was meowing for days, trapped inside the basement of a family house.
He was desperately calling for his mom, but sadly she was nowhere to be found. Once the woman placed him in a foster home, she was determined to find his mom and reunite the two.
However, the task was challenging since the adorable black cat was extremely afraid of humans. They spotted her searching for her kitten near the house and decided to lure her in with some treats.
Hungry, she immediately forgot about her fear and helped herself with some wet food. Her rescuers took it slow, not wanting to scare her away.
With the help of her friend, they managed to come close enough and catch her in a net. The poor soul was so frightened, she started frantically jumping around.
Fortunately, they managed to place her in a carrier and rush her to the vet. At the animal clinic, the vet determined she was only around two years old and luckily the sweet mama was more than healthy!
Naming her Bagira, her rescuers were on their way to reunite her with the kitten. The foster mom who took her kitten Locky in, couldn’t wait to welcome Bagira into her home as well!
Once Bagira saw her kitten Locky, she instantly forgot all about her fear and started licking and kissing the adorable kitten.
Their foster mom arranged an entire room in her house to meet their needs, with endless toys, a bunch of cat beds, and huge scratching posts.
Locky was already well adjusted to his foster home, while Bagira was still a bit cautious. Although she was happy to be around her kitten, she needed a few more days to adjust to her new surroundings.
Just three days later, she realized that this place where she could get endless treats and cuddles wasn’t that bad at all!
Bagira started purring and making air biscuits, while Locky was jumping and playing around. Their foster mom knew they would soon be ready for a loving forever home!
Thanks to these kind individuals who took it upon themselves to save stray cats from the cruel street life, a mom and her kitten got a second chance at life!
