Louisiana Man Closes A Garage Door Unaware His Cat Is Sleeping On Top Of It

Our feline companions always manage to surprise us with their unique antics. Cats are incredibly intelligent, yet sometimes they behave so clumsily, it’s as if they’ve completely forgotten how to think.
That’s exactly what happened with Bella, a gray and white kitty. After a delightful day, Bella decided it was time for a well-earned nap.
What she thought would be a perfect spot turned into a disaster, and she found herself in need of urgent help.
Bella chose to nap on top of the garage door, but unfortunately, she learned a tough lesson the hard way.
Still, thanks to Deputy Mike Scott of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, she was rescued just in time.
It all began when Deputy Scott received an urgent call about the gray and white kitty stuck in a rather unusual predicament at a home in Louisiana. He shared in a post on Facebook:
“A cat had been stuck between the garage door of a residence and the wall. Never in all of my years was I prepared to encounter what I saw upon my arrival.”
Thankfully, Deputy Scott wasted no time in reacting and arrived just in time. Bella looked pretty uncomfortable.
The worst part was that no one was home when she got stuck. It’s believed that Bella had been sleeping on top of the garage door when it was open and horizontal.
However, when her owner closed the door and left, the problems began.
Despite the unfortunate situation, Bella turned out to be very lucky. She was noticed hanging by the garage door by her neighbors, who immediately contacted Deputy Scott for help.
In addition, they offered a helping hand during the rescue. Together, they carefully removed the molding around the door frame to gently pull Bella to safety.
While the rescue was underway, someone contacted Bella’s owner, who quickly rushed back home, unaware of the situation unfolding.
After successfully finishing the rescue mission, Bella underwent a thorough examination. To everyone’s surprise, she had no injuries at all.
She was just a little scared from everything she had endured, and maybe a little embarrassed.
Eventually, everything turned out great, and everyone returned to their homes happy. Deputy Scott shared:
“I am not much of a cat person, but no one wants to see an animal suffer. Thank God for miracles and good neighbors.”
But of all the places, why did Bella choose to fall asleep high up on a garage door?
Well, in case you didn’t know, cats spend most of their day sleeping, and for that, they need safe and comfortable spots. In nature, what’s a safer place from predators than being high up in a tree?
Indoor cats are the same. They instinctively love to nap or watch the world from high vantage points.
Not only does it give them a great view of their surroundings, but it also provides a sense of safety and security.
Unfortunately, when Bella chose to nap on the garage door, she had no idea what was about to happen. Let’s hope she learned her lesson and sticks to safer high spots in the future!
