When this tiny kitten was born, his breeder wanted to put him down because he was a bit different from his siblings.
If you ask me, it’s the most bizarre reason I’ve ever heard because every kitten deserves a chance to live.
Fortunately, a kind-hearted woman heard about this unusual kitten in time and stepped in to help him escape this grim fate.
Cricket, as he was named, was born with one eye and a crooked jaw. His breeder wanted to put him down so that his unusual appearance wouldn’t affect her breeding business.
Fortunately, a kind-hearted woman named Megan found out about the kitten and stepped in just in time. She offered to adopt the kitten, saving him from euthanasia. It turned out to be the best decision in her life.
When Megan adopted Cricket, he was skin and bones, but she knew they were meant for each other. She said in an interview:
“It was love at first sight.”
Upon arriving at his new home, Cricket quickly adjusted to his new life. Soon, he was just like any other cat, playing and running around, basically thriving in life.
His favorite game is hide-and-seek, and he doesn’t let his unusual appearance stop him from doing what he loves the most. Megan added:
“When we play hide and seek, I was always doing the seeking, and he was always doing the hiding. When he would find me, he’d come up behind me. It’s one of his favorite things to do.”
However, Cricket is much more than a playful cat with an unusual appearance. He has a lovely personality that helped Megan through life a lot. She explained:
“He came in just at the right time. Cricket changed my life for the better. That span in my life was stressful. He was pretty much my emotional support animal.”
Since adopting Cricket, Megan’s life has become much better and less stressful. Not only did she save his life, but he also saved hers.
They have enriched each other’s lives, and I believe they were destined to meet and have their happily ever after.
