Stray Cat Found With Ears That Appear Brutally Chewed By Rats Leaves Rescuers In Shock

Sharing is caring!

A couple of mornings ago, a group of devoted animal rescuers was stunned as a heartbroken ginger tabby walked through their door.

A kind man had found her hiding in his garage, her eyes filled with worry and fear, and he immediately took her to the rescue center.

The kitty was suffering from a severe, festering, and bleeding head wound, and her ears appeared to have been brutally chewed by rats.

Without a single moment of hesitation, the rescuers took charge of her care, rushing her to the veterinary clinic for a thorough examination.

The cat’s extremely dilated pupils made it clear to everyone that she was feeling very anxious.

She wasn’t moving at all, as if exhausted from all the running and abuse she had endured, having seemingly given up the fight.

The vet examined her and suspected that she had been previously beaten, which had caused the awful, bloody open wounds on her head and attracted the nasty rats.

Concerned she might have suffered brain damage, the vet quickly drew some blood and sent it for testing.

Then, he disinfected the injured area on her head and shaved around her ears to treat the wounds and preserve what could still be saved.

He quickly realized that one of her ears was entirely missing, chewed away, while the other was only partially injured.

On top of all that, the vet noticed one of the kitty’s legs was broken.

Everyone’s heart sank for the poor cat; they all wondered: How could anyone be so cruel to such an innocent animal?

When the blood test results arrived, the vet was relieved to finally receive good news: There was no brain damage!

This news restored everyone’s faith and gave them hope that the beautiful cat they had come to care for would heal and soon live like any other feline.

The cat was then given pain medication and kept in the hospital for ongoing monitoring of her recovery.

Although many procedures, like blood transfusions, were still necessary, everyone was hopeful the cat would soon make a full recovery.

Even though the cat’s physical and mental health were poor, the good news was that she was finally in good hands, surrounded by people who cared deeply for her well-being.

With such devoted rescuers determined to provide the life she deserves, I am confident that this lovely ginger girl will soon recover.
