Cat Trapped 100 Feet Down Mine Shaft Sees The Light Of The Day Thanks To A Brave Dog

Sharing is caring!

When the family cat, Mowgli went missing, his owner, Michele Rose, was left heartbroken.

Days passed, but Mowgli was nowhere to be found. Michele began losing hope and nearly accepted that she might never see him again.

However, seeing Michele so sad, her dog, Daisy, decided to take things into her own paws and reunite the whole family.

While Mowgli was missing, Michele noticed some unusual behavior in Daisy. The dog kept running and sniffing around the woods near their house.

One moment, Daisy looked at Michele and ran into the woods, urging her to follow. Michele followed her dog, who seemed to have figured something out.

But, when Daisy stopped next to a deep mine shaft, Michele became confused.

A few seconds after arriving at the location, Michele was left in shock. As she stood next to the deep shaft, she began hearing meowing cries and instantly realized it was her beloved Mowgli.

She couldn’t contain her excitement and was grateful to have such a wonderful dog, sharing in an interview:

“Daisy is a superstar; she’s an amazing dog. Without Daisy’s instincts, Mowgli might still be trapped down there. She was relentless in leading me to that spot; it was truly remarkable.”

After realizing Mowgli was stuck 100 feet down the mine shaft, Michele immediately contacted the local animal rescue and firefighters, who quickly sprang into action.

The teams organized a rescue mission, and soon, Mowgli was safely pulled out. To everyone’s surprise, he was uninjured and excited to be back home with his loved ones.

So, why did Daisy go out looking for Mowgli? Well, Michele explained that Daisy is deeply bonded with her two cats, Mowgli and Baloo, and they all get along beautifully. She added:

“Daisy was already a year old when the kittens arrived, and they have been inseparable ever since. She is quite matriarchal, looking out for them, and they adore her while she remains fiercely protective of them.”

Thankfully, Michele’s pets take great care of each other, because if it weren’t for Daisy, who knows if Mowgli would have ever been found and reunited with his family? This time, luck was on his side, and let’s all hope it stays that way.
