One tender moment caught on video was all it took for him to capture hearts everywhere with a simple, unforgettable display of love.

It all started when Buzz injured his paw during a rowdy play session with his dog “cousins” in the backyard. 

He wasn’t himself afterward – no zoomies, no toy greetings, just quiet naps and sad eyes. 

Seeing him down broke his family’s hearts. So, Buzz’s grandma came up with a simple idea to lift his spirits: let him choose a brand-new stuffed toy.

What happened next was pure magic. In the now-viral TikTok posted by his owner, Grace Dower, Buzz sits patiently in front of a pile of soft toys, studying each one as if he’s choosing something precious. 

After careful thought, he reaches out and selects his favorite. The moment is so simple yet so full of love that it’s impossible not to smile.

Grace hadn’t planned to share the clip. She shared in an interview:

“I almost didn’t post it. I thought it was just something sweet between us. But it felt worth sharing.” 

More than two million views later, she’s still amazed at how many hearts Buzz has touched.

Grace first met Buzz in 2022, during her junior year of college. From the very beginning, he felt like home. She said:

“He’s always been emotionally aware. If you’re sad, he just knows. He’s never loud or demanding – he just gives love.”

At nearly three years old, Buzz is known for his polite nature and his adorable quirk: he always greets guests with a gift. Grace laughed:

“He always brings people one of his toys when they walk in the door. It’s like his way of saying, ‘Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.’”

But Buzz doesn’t play rough with his toys – he cherishes them. Grace calls them his “stuffies,” and he treats them like treasures. She said proudly:

“He’s never destroyed one. He just likes to carry them around in his mouth. I buy them from the kids’ section because that’s what he loves.”

So, when Buzz was injured, it made perfect sense that a new stuffy would bring him comfort.

“I was nervous to post it. But everyone was just so kind. It reminded me that people really do love goodness when they see it.”

Buzz’s recovery has gone well since then. He’s back to running, swimming, and stealing hearts. 

When Grace has to travel, he stays with her parents, who have fully embraced their roles as his “grandparents.” Grace joked:

“He basically gets a doggy vacation every time he visits. He swims, naps in the sun, and gets spoiled rotten.”

Her mom’s bond with Buzz is something Grace treasures. She said:

“She’s got so much love to give. She’s the kind of person who makes animals feel safe – and Buzz absolutely adores her.”

With Buzz’s new fame, people have even asked where they can send him toys. But Grace has a better idea. She added:

“I always tell people to donate to their local animal shelters. That’s what Buzz would want – more animals being cared for and loved.”
